Zumba

Hypnotic latin dance rhythms and easy to follow moves create a dynamic fitness programme! Routines feature a combination of fast and slow rhythms and resistance training to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Suitable for all levels. Wear loose comfortable clothing and trainers or soft shoes.

Zumba Toning™

This class is designed to blend body-sculpting techniques and specific Zumba® moves into one calorie-burning, strength-training class. This class uses weighted, maraca-like Zumba Toning Sticks to enhance rhythm and build strength.

Kettlercise Tone

A circuit program for all who desire a well toned physique. Full body fat burning program, combining low intensity with a high volume workout.

Your instructor is Deanie who is a registered Kettlebell professional

Power Tone

All over body work-out including fat burning, body sculpting and yoga exercises.

Street Shape Up

A funky and fresh new workout combining street and aerobics moves to hip hop, r 'n' b and pop beats. Great way to get fit, boost confidence and make new friends whilst having fun. Streetdance is a fusion of many different dance styles and is a workout for the mind as well as the body. So Street classes are also designed to build confidence, and Amy works at a level suitable for all dancers from beginner to advanced.

Just Jhoom

A brand new form of dancercise. Inspired by the glitz and glamour of Bollywood. Energetic and fun workoput

Pilates

Build core strength and improve your posture through a series of low repetition low impact stretching and conditioning exercises. Classes are suitable for both improvers and intermediate levels
All Classes: £6

Vinyasa Yoga

A series of sequences incorporating a continuous flow of breath to movement. Often referred to as flow yoga.
Individual Classes: £6.50 per session. Course: There may be a reduction for a full course of classes

Yoga Therapy

Gentle yoga class focusing on breathing techniques, mobilization exercises and relaxation. Designed specifically for anyone with health or mobility issues.

Hatha Yoga

A combination of posture, breath control and meditation. Movements are slower with more focus on forming the poses and holding correct alignment.

Pregnancy Yoga

Different breathing, deep relaxation and meditation techniques to reduce emotional stress and tension, helping to assist for an easier pregnancy and birth.

Boxertone

Burn fat, tone up, improve co-ordination and relieve stress. A fun form of interval training incorporating pad hitting combinations, high intensity shuttle runs and boxing based circuit stations. Working in pairs and individually - you'll be put through your paces!

Body Basics

This is a fun, functional, low impact class designed to build strength, flexibility and mobility. Includes cardio, weights, bands, fit balls and pilates.

Aqua Aerobics

Aqua aerobics is not only a great way to get fit but it is also one of the safest. It keeps the heart and lungs healthy whilst toning the body and reducing fat, and also provides a good opportunity for a splash about in the water. A fun and safe way to get fit using the water as support.

Funky 50s Aqua

Fun and enjoyable water aerobics tailored to the over 50s.

Meet the team who run our Aztec Studio Classes. They are all passionate about fitness and this carries through to their own sessions. Click on their names below to display more information about our enthusiastic team.

Zoe Bowden - Studio Manager + Zumba, Zumba Toning & Aqua Aerobics

Zoe BowdenAlongside managing the day-to-day running of the Aztec Studio, I’m a fully qualified instructor in aerobics, aqua-aerobics, Zumba and Zumba Toning. My passion for fitness developed from a love of dance which started with ballet at the age of six, followed on by studies including Jazz, Modern, Latin American, Contemporary, Hip Hop and tap. I started working at TLH as a member of the resident entertainment team and as I come from a family of all singing all dancing successful entertainers, I guess it was inevitable that I’d follow a career in entertainment in some form or another. Zumba and Zumba Toning are a really fun way to keep fit and I would recommend them to anyone who loves to combine exercise and dance.

Julie Read - Yogalates & Body Basics

Julie ReadJulie has been teaching fitness for 25 years and specialises in Pilates/Body Balance which is a modern blend of Yoga/Pilates done to motivational music. Client care is top of her agenda, and all her classes are guaranteed to be challenging, achievable and fun.

Amy Robinson - Street Dance & Just Jhoom

amy robinsonAmy is a dance and fitness fanatic!, having danced since she was 3. She has mainly worked in the entertainments industry as a dancer in theatre and cabaret shows. She now passes on her passion and enthusiasm through her classes.

Tania Hindom - Zumba; Zumba Tone & Aqua Aerobics

Tania HindomFollowing her life-long love of dance and fitness, Tania turned her passion for exercise into a career, gaining qualifications in exercise to music; gym instruction; personal training; G.P exercise referral; Zumba and Zumba toning.Her classes and gym sessions are great fun, whilst maintaining safe and effective instruction to achieve the best results for her followers. She particularly loves Zumba as it is a mixture of dance and fitness with a Latin influence. Tania will soon to be on maternity leave, but is very much looking forward to coming back as it will be a great way to get back into shape after having her baby. In the meantime we wish her all the best with her new baby.

Zoe Sherfield - Aqua Fitness

Zoe SherfieldZoe has worked for Aztec since completing her foundation degree in Exercise Science and Fitness. She is also a qualified Gym Instructor, GP Referral Instructor, and is soon to be embarking on her aqua fitness qualification which will be put to good use when she joins the Aztec Studio Team in January.

Sarah Mathews - Yoga

Sarah MathewsSarah has been practising yoga for 18 years and teaching since 2002. Extensively trained in Yoga, she holds many different diplomas, covering different styles and techniques.  She travels all around the globe in order to pursue her yogic studies and has been honoured to work with some of the World’s finest teachers.

Claire Long - Pilates

Claire LongClaire has been in the fitness industry since 2000. As a qualified pilates teacher, she is passionate about what pilates can do for you and is a testimony to its effectiveness. Having had 3 children she feels there is nothing like pilates for reaping physical benefits -  "A flatter stomach, great posture and freedom from back pain. Poor posture not only looks bad but is a major cause of back and joint pain in the body. Making pilates a part of your lifestyle compliments any other activity from those just looking for a pain free body to a range of sports people who want to improve their core strength and game". Claire loves what she does and enjoys helping others get fit and be happy.

Dan Lewis - Boxertone

Dan LewisDan has been a member of the Aztec Team for 3 years now since achieving his degree in sports science. As well as being a gym instructor, personal trainer and lifeguard, he can be regularly seen working out in his own time.If you need a diet plan, personalised gym programme, fitness testing, or just some good old-fashioned motivation, then come and talk to him.

Our Terms and Conditions

All classes must be pre-paid at the time of booking and at least 5 minutes before the start of the class.

If a class has to be cancelled or changed at short notice, we will try our best to let you know in good time. If you have pre-paid, we will transfer your payment to the next available class. No refunds will be given for bookings cancelled by you.

Please check with your doctor if you have any health concerns before starting a new exercise class. Before you start any fitness classes with us we need to ask you to complete a medical questionnaire to ensure we can assess your level of fitness correctly. To save time feel free to download a copy of the questionnaire and bring it with you on the day.
