Profile: Hi I am Nigel Beck General manager at the Toorak Hotel - having spent two life sentences at TLH (21 years!) probably proves you have to be mad to work here but believe it or not I am still passionate about what we do here and still get a kick out of "happy guests!" liking what we do One of my most memoroble moments in catering was Mick Jagger being turned away from the restaurant I was working in by the Maitre D for not being appropriatley dresses!! bet thats not happened to often!! Talking of music being a music fan means getting to a few rock and blues gigs Over the last 12 months have seen the likes of Bob Dylan, Joe Bonamassa (fav), Lynard Skynard, Bad Company, Jethro Tull, Joe Perry. Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, BB King to name a few - you are probably saying who? what? are they still alive etc but get over it - it's what we like!
