Who Killed Martin Bowman?
The story so far…….
Martin Bowman is a best-selling novelist, celebrity biographer and host of wireless discussion programme “Target”.
His wife, Carlie Newbury, herself a nationally renowned gardening writer with several books to her credit, writes the “Green Thumbnail” column in a national newspaper.
On Tuesday evening the family was here to enjoy an evening at the Toorak Hotel with their guests and neighbours Harriet and Tom Conway and Charlie’s daughter, Jennie, who also invited her boyfriend, Brynn Lawrence. Philip D’Arcy, a long-standing friend of Martin’s was also been invited to join them for the evening.
The Party, with the exception of Philip D’Arcy met at the Bowman’s family home for early evening drinks.
“Fantastic”, “Most Entertaining”, “Good Entertainment and Great Food”, “A Really Fun Night”, “Great Service”, “The Food was to Die For”…. just a few of the comments received back from guests about the Murder Mystery Dinner held at the Toorak as part of the Agatha Christie Week Celebration in Torbay.
Every good evening should start with a horrific murder – the challenge for the 81 guests attending was to find out who did it over a delicious three course dinner menu served in Arlington Ballroom.
The Toorak Hotel’s excellent standard of three star service was beautifully complimented by the mystery and intrigue created while guests “chewed over” the facts of the case during the course of the meal – the evening finishing with each table putting their amateur detective skills to the final test and all finding out whodunit!
So, you want to know who did it? – well, the only way to find that out will be to join us the next time……..
