Red Arrows are Flying into Torquay

Written by Vicky on 21st August 2009

Ever since I was a child, the Red Arrows have amazed and surprised me. I have seen them countless times but never tire from the stunning aerobatics they perform. The oohs and aahs from the crowd, the cricked neck from looking skyward and the shock at how close they fly to each other – all takes me right back to being 10 years old on Torquay sea front with Mum and Dad!

This year they are back again in Torquay. You can see them doing their stuff on Wednesday 26th August from 6pm and I’ve found an even better vantage point. The Aztec Bistro at TLH Leisure Resort has the perfect sun terrace to watch the Red Arrows from. Even better, you can have a drink while watching and maybe something to eat in the Bistro afterwards.

That’s where I’m heading next Wednesday evening – let’s hope for some sunshine!
