How many times have you wished you could dance? I mean really dance, not just jig around on your own! Weddings, dinner dances, balls, all sorts of social events call for taking your partner and whirling them around the dance floor to a chorus of amazed ooh and aahs (or maybe that’s just my fantasy).Years ago you may have been taught a few basics by Mum and Dad so that you didn’t disgrace yourself at the school prom, but generally those days are over, leaving a generation of young (and not so young) people who don’t know their foxtrots from their tangos.
Help is now at hand with new dancing holidays from TLH Leisure Resort, Torquay. The group of 4 hotels, are well known in dancing circles and are offering something a bit different for anyone interested in learning basic Ballroom steps or brush up on their long dormant social dancing skills.
John & Linda West
New hosts to TLH, former British Over 50′s Dance Champions John and Linda West, will take you through your paces at the Victoria Hotel with a series of ‘Learn & Improve’ sessions throughout the day and there are social evenings to practice what you’ve learnt. There will also be a demonstration cabaret from the Latin Champion hosts to show you how it’s really done!
So before that next ‘do’ comes along, why not give this a try? The emphasis is firmly on fun and there’s lots else to see and do if your feet start to give up on you.
