TLH – Best for Business Training!
Written by Jenny on 28th April 2009A huge “thank you” to all our staff for helping TLH Leisure Resort to win the South Devon Business Excellence “Best Business Training Award” at this year’s event. It might sound a bit of a mouthful, but winning this award shows the commitment to training and development shown by all staff and management.

One of the reasons we won was due to the number of staff who are either working towards or have completed a Level 2 NVQ. At the moment we have over 80 people completing an NVQ in a variety of subjects, including Customer Service, Management and Administration. Other subjects available are Food & Drink Service, Food Preparation & Cookery, Housekeeping and Front Office, to name but a few.
Here at TLH Leisure Resort we pride ourselves in offering all staff the opportunity to develop themselves and their career. This can be through external training, such as NVQ’s, or through our extensive in-house training programme. Not only does this benefit our staff, but it also improves the level of service we can offer our customers.
As well as those who have or are completing Level 2 qualifications, we have had a number of Managers complete the Level 4 NVQ in Management. By leading and motivating our teams our success will continue and I am sure more awards will follow.
