Torquay’s friendly local pub – Alberts Bar

With it’s brand new look, Alberts Bar is a really brilliant place in Torquay if you’re looking for a great night’s entertainment, or maybe drink or a meal with friends. And you’re welcome to bring the family along too.

I’ve had a sample off the new menu and can really recommend the new lamb kofta burgers. Now I can’t wait to try the chicken tikka burger. All of the burgers are hand made by a local butcher, and like everything else on the menu, they’re great value for money. The kids menu is good fun –it’s like a table mat that the children can keep to do some puzzles and games – keeps them occupied while you’re enjoying a drink and a natter.

The other good thing about bringing the kids is that the family area is really spacious and comfortable, and you don’t feel pushed into some tucked-away corner – and there’s an activity area with giant puzzles and toys too.

Alberts Bar has always been popular for its evening entertainment and there are some great nights to look forward to. Thursday is the regular Karaoke night – always good for some fun. Fridays and Saturdays there’s always live entertainers with some really talented vocalists and duos, and Sunday night is quiz night for all you brain-boxes out there. During the main Summer holidays until the end of August, there will be live entertainment every night.

Since the smoking ban we’ve extended the outside seating area – nice for catching some Summer sunshine too.

Pop in and see for yourself. We’re on the corner of the Victoria Hotel on Belgrave Road in Torquay, open daily from 11.00am – midnight. Meals are served from 12 noon – 2.30pm and 5.00-8.30pm.
