Short Mat Bowling is a really popular social sport and TLH Leisure Resort has become a popular venue for short mat bowling groups, as well as hosting the annual TLH Short Mat Festival.

TLH Short Mat Festivals
Short mat bowlers and their families are welcome to join us at our Short Mat Festivals in the friendly, relaxed atmosphere of the Derwent Hotel. These Festivals are expertly run oby our tournament officials Paul & Val Jones, and Larry House.
The organisation of our Short Mat Festivals is second-to-none (so our bowlers tell us), catering for all standards of players with 16 mats available in our superb indoor bowling arena.
The main event provides a choice of Triples or Fours, plus there’s an Optional Evening Pairs Competition.
- Enter your own triple(s) or four(s) or join one on arrival. We can arrange this for you
- Optional evening Pairs Competition and bowls drives at no extra charge.
- Up to £500 cash prize money
- Plate competitions for bowlers not progressing in the main competitions
- FREE PLACE for every 30 adults booked
