There is so much to see and do this Early May Bank Holiday! From picturesque walks across the Naturally Inspiring coastline, to seaside shenanigans at Brixham Pirate Festival. See below for full details.

English Riviera Walking Festival

Taking place between 4th – 19th May 2024.

Professional local guides and enthusiastic volunteers that will be hosting this event have created an eclectic selection of half day and full day guided walks, set within the Naturally Inspiring English Riviera. (Torquay, Paignton and Brixham.)

Hear about Torquay’s best-known resident, Agatha Christie, and her life, take a walk around Brixham’s bustling harbour with a pirate, learn about our Seafood Coast, or go on a foraging walk at historic Torre Abbey. find out more

Walking Festival Torquay
Aqua Adrenaline Tour 2024

Taking place between 4th – 5th May 2024 at Beacon Quay.

Torquay Harbour will host the offshore circuit racing drivers association powerboat race on the above dates. During this racing high speed craft will be in competition around a course set to the south of Torquay Harbour.

Racing  times to be confirmed.

During this event mariners are advised to keep clear of the race course shown above and take instruction from any safety boats connected to this event. The International Regulations for Prevention of Collisions at Sea will apply at all times.

Brixham Pirate Festival

Taking place between 4th – 6th May 2024.

The annual Brixham Pirate Festival, with a crew made up of first-time brigands and buccaneers, held in Brixham, Devon. There is a swashbuckling mix of seaside shenanigans and pirate-themed fun for all the family. The Brixham Pirate Festival is a free to attend.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wander round the harbour and discover all sorts of pirate antics, including:

  • Street performers
  • Street theatre
  • Balloon modelling
  • Historical re-enactments
