There's an exciting choice of award winning attractions within easy reach, including Paignton Zoo, Babbacombe Model Village and pre-historic Kents cavern.

Agatha Christie
Dame Agatha Christie, the world's most famous mystery and crime writer, was born in Torquay in 1890 and lived for many years in the area. Come and join in the annual festival of celebrations which take place every year.
Shopping
If you're in need of some retail therapy, choose from Torquay, Exeter or Plymouth. Or for local arts, crafts and foods visit the Elizabethan town of Totnes, or Bovey Tracey's craft centre.
