Personal Holiday Insurance
For comprehensive holiday insurance cover at TLH Leisure Resort we have, in conjunction with Michael Pavey Ltd t/a Pavey Group Insurance Brokers, made the following arrangement. (Michael Pavey Ltd are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority under reference number 308106.)
We would recommend taking up this insurance as
cancellations may result in the loss of all monies paid. Additionally, accident
and loss during your holiday may not be covered by existing insurance and
can result in significant expense. A policy document giving full details
of cover, conditions and exclusions will be sent to you upon receipt of the
premium payment.
This policy provides for:
Cancellation or Curtailment
If your holiday is necessarily and unavoidably cancelled or curtailed due to a cause beyond your control, you will be indemnified up to the holiday cost selected or the proportion of your lost holiday if you have to return early. This section is subject to a £40 per person excess, other than loss of deposit claims when it will be £15 per booking or the claim is due to a pre-existing medical condition, when it is £80.
UK Helpline – Medical Emergency
If you or a member of your party are taken ill or injured whilst away,
the services of the International Medical Rescue will come to your aid. You
will be insured for the following:-
Emergency Medical Repatriation and Travel Expenses within the U.K. up to £10,000 – excess £40 per claim.
Emergency Accommodation Expenses £200
Visit by Close Relative – transportation costs £250
Hospital Benefit (£10 per day/£200 max)
Repatriation of Vehicle/Luggage £1,000
Personal Effects and Money – up to £1,500
If there is accidental loss of or damage to your baggage, personal effects or money whilst you are on holiday, you can be indemnified with up to £1,500. A limit of £150 applies in respect of personal money and any single article, pair or set. Valuables (as defined in policy document) are covered but subject to an overall limit of £150. This section is subject to a £40 excess per claim.
Personal Accident up to £10,000
If an accident occurs whilst you are on holiday, you can be indemnified with a cash sum for accidental bodily injury causing death, loss of sight or limbs or permanent disablement. In respect of under 16’s the death benefit is reduced to £1,000. There is no cover for persons aged 75 or over.
Personal Legal Liability up to £2,000,000
If you cause damage to any third party or to third party property whilst
you are on holiday, you are provided with Insurance to cover legal liability
for damages and claimant costs and expenses in respect of bodily injury
to other people or damage to their property.
Additional Benefits
The following additional Personal Insurance benefits are now included under this policy:
Baggage & money cover - Up to £1500 (Money limit £150, valuables and single article limit £150 - £40 excess per person)
Personal accident - Up to £10,000
Personal liability - Up to £2,000,000
Ferry delays over 6 hours - Up to £20
£15 per day (max £75) where beaches are unfit for use due to pollution
Natural catastrophe - Up to £500
Loss of amenity / significant nuisance - Up to £500
Insurance Premiums (per person)
1 to 4 nights £7.00
5 to 8 nights £10.00
9 to 14 nights £16.00
Insurance for children is free when sharing a room with their parents.
The Personal Insurance is underwritten by Elvia Travel; Insurance International N.V.(Netherlands). Mondial (UK) Limited is the underwriters UK administrator. Mondial Assistance UK Limited is authorised and regulated by the FSA. Elvia is authorised by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and regulated by the FSA for the conduct of UK business.
IMPORTANT – MAIN EXCLUSIONS
Whilst this insurance is not subject to a health warranty,
Underwriting Agents will not be liable for claims:
- Where at the time of taking out this Insurance:
- The Insured Person is
aware of any set of circumstances which would reasonably be
expected to give rise to a claim. - Any person whose condition gives rise to a claim:
- is receiving, or on a waiting list for, inpatient treatment in a hospital or nursing home; or
- is expected to give birth before, or within eight weeks of, the date of arrival home; or
- is travelling against the advice of a Medical Practitioner or for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment; or
- has been given a terminal prognosis.

aware of any set of circumstances which would reasonably be
- In respect of disinclination to travel or financial circumstances (other than qualifying redundancy).
Hotel & Apartment Information - Day of Arrival and Departure
Rooms will be ready by 3.00 pm on the day of your arrival. You are most welcome to arrive early and enjoy the hotel facilities. We are happy to arrange a late supper if you let us know that you do not expect to arrive in time for dinner. On your day of departure bedrooms need to be vacated by 11.00 am and apartments by 10.00 am.
Early and Late Meals
We will be happy to arrange an early breakfast or late supper if you let us know the previous day. Packed lunches are also available for your journey home or if you are spending a day out and about.
Special Diets
We try to offer all special diets – please let us know in advance if you have any special requirements and our chefs will be happy to discuss menus with you.
Deposits
A deposit of 25% is required on all bookings. Deposits are non-refundable. Full payment is required 28 days prior to arrival.
Refunds and Cancellations
We recommend that you take up holiday insurance as without it cancellation will result in the loss of all monies paid.
Accounts
When paying your account, we are happy to accept cash, cheques or major credit and debit cards. Pre-authorisation of credit or debit cards may be requested on arrival to allow for additional charges to your account during your stay.
VAT Registration Number
The VAT registration number for TLH Leisure Resort is 585 889 556.
Guest Valuables
Valuables may be deposited with the management for safe-keeping.
Conditions
The accommodation shall be used only by the persons listed on the Booking Form. The person making the booking must be over 18 years of age. The manager may immediately retake possession of the accommodation if, in his opinion, any member of the party is guilty of conduct which is likely to cause unreasonable disturbance to others. The Hirer will be held responsible for the contents of the accommodation in his/her possession. Any breakages, loss or damage to the premises or fixtures and fittings must be paid for. Pets are not allowed with the exception of guide dogs for the blind and listening dogs for the deaf.
