Local Ferry Service

Being on the coast, there are a variety of ferry services available. The Western Lady Ferry service can take you from Torquay across to Brixham, and Neptune Cruises offer trips across the Bay and along the River Dart; a relaxed and hassle free way to explore the area. Stagecoach Bus

Stagecoach operate the local bus service for Torbay and South Devon and you'll find a daily 'explorer' ticket offers excellent value, allowing travel within Torbay and to Exeter. During peak times, the Torquay Land Train conveniently stops right outside the Derwent Hotel and can drop you off in the town centre or along the seafront. To go further afield, National Express operate from Torquay and Paignton.

Dartmouth Steam Railway

The Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway run steam trains along the spectacular Torbay coast to Churston and down to Kingswear where you can then take the ferry across to Dartmouth. The South Devon Railway will take you along the scenic route between Totnes and Buckfastleigh. Torquay's mainline railway station is about 1/2 mile from TLH Leisure Resort and trains will take you to Exeter or Plymouth, maybe for a day's shopping, without the worry of car parking.

Cycling in Torbay

Take a closer look a Torbay and the surrounding areas by bicycle. You can bring your own bicycles down on the back of your car, or cycle hire is available near to TLH Leisure Resort. As part of our greener environmental initiatives, we have now installed a cycle rack at the rear of the Toorak which guests are welcome to use.
