If you’re in need of some retail therapy, TLH Leisure Resort is in an ideal location. Torquay’s town centre is only minutes walk away, Exeter and Plymouth city centres are within easy reach, and there are some delightful rural locations with a good choice of local arts and crafts.
Torquay
Fleet Walk and the Pavilion shopping centres are only a 10 minute walk from TLH Leisure Resort. As well as the usual high street names, you will find a wide range of individual stores offering unusual and imaginative gifts. The Willows provides the out-of-town shopping experience, only 2 miles away.
Exeter
The lovely cathedral city of Exeter has many large stores to browse around. There are also some fascinating finds to be made in the maze of back streets. Only a 30 minute drive from Torquay, with plenty of car parks in the city centre, or you may decide to use one of the park and ride car parks on the outskirts of the city. There are also good bus and train services.
Plymouth
Plymouth is an excellent modern shopping centre offering a
wide choice. You can also take the opportunity to visit Plymouth
Hoe or maybe the Dartington Glass Works which are situated on Plymouth's
famous Barbican. Only a 40 minute drive from Torquay.
Totnes
Don't miss the delightful Elizabethan town of Totnes with its regular Tuesday
market. The main street winding up through the town hides numerous craft and
antique shops.
Bovey Tracey
Situated right on the edge of Dartmoor, Bovey Tracey has a delightful village-like atmosphere. The craft centre in the heart of the town is not to be missed and on the edge of the town is the renowned House of Marbles and Teign Valley Glass Works. Visit the Cardew Teapot Factory - a collectors paradise and loads of fun for the kids who can paint their own items of pottery.
