If you’re in need of some retail therapy, TLH Leisure Resort is in an ideal location. Torquay’s town centre is only minutes walk away, Exeter and Plymouth city centres are within easy reach, and there are some delightful rural locations with a good choice of local arts and crafts.

Fleet Walk and the Pavilion shopping centres are only a 10 minute walk from TLH Leisure Resort. As well as the usual high street names, you will find a wide range of individual stores offering unusual and imaginative gifts. The Willows provides the out-of-town shopping experience, only 2 miles away.

Or take time out to visit delightful Cockington. The charming thatched Village will transport you back in time, while Cockington Court and its stables have now been converted into studios, showcasing traditional arts and crafts, including glassblowing, pottery, calligraphy and woodcraft.

Many local shops in Torquay offer discounts to TLH guests (gifts, jewellery, clothes and homeware etc), they also include some well know high street shops.

The lovely cathedral city of Exeter has many large stores to browse around. There are also some fascinating finds to be made in the maze of back streets. Only a 30 minute drive from Torquay, with plenty of car parks in the city centre, or you may decide to use one of the park and ride car parks on the outskirts of the city. There are also good bus and train services.

Plymouth is an excellent modern shopping centre offering a wide choice in Drake's Circus, its under cover precinct. You should also take the opportunity to visit Plymouth Hoe or maybe the Dartington Glass Works which are situated on Plymouth's famous Barbican. Stop and have a bite of lunch in one of the many pavement cafes along the quayside. Only a 40 minute drive from Torquay.

Bovey Tracey

Situated right on the edge of Dartmoor, Bovey Tracey has a delightful village-like atmosphere. The home of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen has its centre in the heart of the town - not to be missed. On the edge of the town is the renowned House of Marbles and Teign Valley Glass Works - perfect for some really unusual gift ideas.

Don't miss the delightful Elizabethan town of Totnes with its regular Tuesday market. The main street winding up through the town hides numerous craft and antique shops.
