TLH Leisure Resort has become a popular venue for this social and sociable sport. We welcome short mat bowling groups, as well as hosting the annual TLH Short Mat Festivals and many other short mat holidays
General Information
With 16 short mats available, TLH Leisure Resort has the flexibility to offer a wide choice of venues ideally suited for small or large numbers. As well as the popular Autumn and Spring Short Mat Festivals, we have a number of other holidays on the calendar where individuals and small groups are welcome.

Short Mat Bowls Festivals
Short mat bowlers and their families are welcome to join us at our Short Mat Festivals in the friendly, relaxed atmosphere of the Derwent Hotel. The organisation is second-to-none (so our bowlers tell us), catering for all standards of players with 16 mats available in our superb indoor bowling arena.
- Enter your own triple(s) or four(s) or join one on arrival. We can arrange this for you
- Optional evening Pairs Competition and bowls drives at no extra charge.
- Up to £500 cash prize money
- Plate competitions for bowlers not progressing in the main competitions

ABTOT
As a member of the Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Ltd (ABTOT), approved by the Department of Trade and Industry, TLH Leisure Resort has provided a Bond to meet the requirements of the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tour Regulations 1992. This Bond provides security for, and is restricted to, the monies paid by its UK customers and for their repatriation to the UK in the event of our insolvency. Our ABTOT number is 5106.
