Special Interest Breaks
A collection of special holidays to inspire you, based at the Toorak Hotel.
Painting
Hosted by professional artist Arnold Lowrey, these holidays will gently lead you into painting, taking you through the basics of good composition, using techniques so you can create a painting of your own. Whether you choose “Winning with Watercolours” or “Actually it’s Acrylics”, Arnold is an expert on both fields. Staying at the Toorak Hotel, the holidays are ideal for beginners and for those who would like to improve their techniques. Non-painting partners are welcome to come and stay and enjoy all of the alternative leisure and entertainment available at TLH.
If you would like more information about Arnold you can visit his website at www.lowrey.co.uk.

Walking For Pleasure
The emphasis of this break is very much on enjoyment. The English Riviera boasts many hidden treasures which hosts Gerald and Margaret Thompson look forward to sharing. Walks are split into “easy” and “more challenging” with coffee stops en route. Good walking shoes or boots are recommended. The break also includes a welcome drinks reception and a final evening social get-together.
Agatha Christie Breaks

The South West's Queen of Crime is the inspiration for these midweek breaks. Included is a vintage bus tour to Greenway House & Gardens, her much beloved holiday home on the banks of the beautiful River Dart and now owned by the National Trust. One of the highlights of these breaks is a Murder Mystery dinner in the Toorak's award-winning restaurant, when you will get the chance to put your own powers of deduction to the test.
Tennis
Designed for adults, these breaks provide 11 hours of tennis coaching on forehand & backhand ground strokes;
forehand & backhand volley; overhead, lob and drop shots and approach shots. There will also be a singles and doubles competition. Our coach is Heath Parkin, a qualified LTA and USPTR tennis coach.
