Do I have to pay at the time of booking?
We ask for full payment at the time of booking. This secures your appointment, saves time on the day and ensures the smooth running of appointments.
What happens if I cannot attend my appointment?
If you need to cancel an appoinment and you let us know more than 24 hours in advance, we can offer a full refund . Any treatments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice cannot be re-funded, although where possible we will try to move your appointment to another time. 100% cancellation charge will be incurred if you fail to attend an appointment.
I have booked a Spa package - can I upgrade the treatment included to something else?
Packages are made up of specially selected treatments and cannot be changed. However, why not indulge yourself with an additional treatment and make the most of your visit. Please make sure you arrange this at the time of booking.
What shall I do if I have questions about my health?
If you have any medical conditions or any allergies, injuries, skin complaints or your are undergoing treatment for cancer (past or present) do please let us know at the time of booking when we can give you advice. Similarly let us know if you are pregnant or breast-feeding and we can advise you about the treatments you can safely enjoy.
What do I need to wear?
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing for your visit. If you wish to use the pool and other facilities, remember to bring appropriate footwear, clothing and swimwear to make the most of your visit. Lockers are provided in the Spa changing rooms. Robes and slippers are provided for body treatments. If your robe is wet and you would like a new one, please be aware there will be a charge of £3.
Do you offer acrylic nails?
Acrylic nails are not available at the Aztec Spa. We believe that the O.P.I and Shellac treatments we offer are the best available for the long term health of your nails.
I didn't get my Shellac or gel applied at the Aztec Spa - can I have it removed?
We only remove products that have been applied in the Aztec Spa. Removers are product specific and we want to be sure that the correct products are used.
Can we bring our own drinks to the Spa?
Teas, coffee and water are freely available on a complementary basis throughout your visit. If you are celebrating something special like a birthday, anniversary or forthcoming wedding, why not treat yourself to a bottle of wine or bubbly which can be purchased at the Aztec Bistro. We do not allow any drinks to be consumed that are not purchased on the premises.
How deep is the swimming pool and what is the water temperature?
The Aztec pool is between 1.8metres - 2 metres deep and is heated to 29oC. The free-form pool is very shallow at the ramp end, graduating to 2 metres deep and is heated to 31oC. Please remember that the pools are part of the main Aztec Leisure area and are not exclusive to the Aztec Spa.
Is there access to a shower in the Spa?
There are no showers in the Aztec Spa, but you are welcome to use the showers in the Aztec pool area.
Do NHS employees get a discount on Spa bookings?
NHS employees are entitled to exclusive discounts on Aztec Spa treatments and also a discount on memberships to the Aztec Club Gym and Pool. NHS employees can visit their "My Trust Benefits" website for details of all the latest offers, or call the Aztec Spa on 01803 400190 for further information.
