A year of dance holidays, breaks and events has flown by as we now approach the 33rd English Riviera Dance Festival (ERDF). It’s hard to believe it has come around again so quickly and it is in its 33rd year of running! The favourite dance festival for social and competitive dancers is this year being organised, for the first time, by James and Claire Taplin, supported by Phillip Wylie and Pam Peters. Their wealth of experience and expertise will no doubt ensure the weeklong festival runs as smoothly as previous years.
This year’s gala dance is again being held at the Riviera International Conference Centre, (RICC) on 31st May, not in the Town Hall as seen in the video. The love and passion that our guests have for the festival and TLH Leisure Resort comes across strong and clear in this video of 2012’s festival, as well as giving you a feel of what to expect.
Location, Location, Location
With an ever growing audience for all types of dance, which has been very much helped by the publicity of dance shows and competitions on our TV screens, it’s not difficult to see why this much loved dance extravaganza continues to be so popular, returning year on year. Set in the heart of the English Riviera, making use of the first class dancing facilities at the TLH Victoria Hotel as well as the great functionality and location of the RICC, this year’s dance festival is situated in the number one seaside destination in England, as voted by Trip Advisor users and recognised at the 2015 Travellers Choice Awards. With this in mind, it’s easy to understand why we remain the venue of choice for ERDF organisers.
Dance the Week Away – Full Programme
Take advantage of our flexible 3,4,5,6 or 7 night stays, starting at just £213. With social dancing, practice sessions, complimentary master classes and competitions taking place throughout the week, you can relax into the swing of things or go all out, dancing competitively with your partner. When your feet can’t take any more and need a little relaxation, you also have access to our Aztec Spa! A foot massage and a dip in our stunning pool is the perfect way to put the spring back into your step and keep you dancing. A full dance festival programme of events is available online, or you can call us on 01803 400500 and we will be more than happy to discuss the festival with you.
What’s more, (just when you thought your week couldn’t get any better!) Warren and Kristi Boyce, the current British Professional Ballroom Champions, will be performing with their son Glenn who is 13 and his partner Kayleigh Andrews who have very recently won the European Junior Ballroom Championships at Blackpool. This is your chance to see dancing of the highest quality, up close and personal, rather than on your TV screens.
