Meet the TLH Entertainment Team – Your Holiday Best Friends
Zoe is our entertainment team manager and has been with us for over ten years creating over 35 amazing shows! Zoe started at a very young age, performing from the age of 2 1/2 and signing on stage from the age of 5. After studying from the age of 16 at the famous BRIT School in South London, Zoe has enjoyed an amazing career, performing in numerous stage shows, pantomimes, TV shows, as well as working for a number of leisure companies, taking her talents all over the world.
Zoe has been lucky enough to work with many talented people including Bobby Davro, Cannon and Ball, Shane Ritchie and Nick Pickard to name a few but is full of praise for the talented team we have at TLH . Zoe said “Our shows are always getting better and better which is largely down to the talented team members we have here at TLH. If you are due to visit our resort for the first time you are in for a real treat; if you are returning you will know how great our shows are and what to expect. See you all soon!”
Karlie also started at a very young age, learning to dance and performing in various competitions from the age of 3. Karlie has a passion for dance and has been part of an entertainment team since the age of 15; almost 10 years have passed and Karlie can’t imagine doing any other job.
Karlie’s favourite show is ‘The Perfect Year’ because it was her first show at TLH which she choreographed herself. This show was very popular with our guests! When asked about her proudest moment so far at TLH she said ” When I became Entertainment Team Leader, because Zoe put a lot of trust in my ability to lead our team, making sure our entertainment is first class.”
Beth is our lighting and sound expert, although also gets involved in the performing side of our shows. She said “I really enjoy this experience, learning new things and performing to our guests!” When you see Beth on stage be sure to show her plenty of support – it’s never easy performing and she always gives it 100%. Beth’s claim to fame is performing the Fast Food song on a theatre stage with none other than the Chuckle Brothers!Ashleigh began her career as an Irish dancer, becoming World Champion at the age of 16! Successfully auditioning for her first musical role in Oklahoma, at the Edinburgh Play House, sparked a passion for musicals and led Ashleigh onto training at the Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre in Liverpool. After graduating from the dance centre, Ashleigh travelled all over the UK and Europe performing in cabaret, production and casino shows during which time she performed with live bands and also choreographed and produced her own stage shows! Ashleigh is an experienced performer and looks forward to the good times ahead. After studying Performing Arts at college, Rhea went on to work at several holiday parks, performing in shows such as Calamity Jane, A Chorus Line and Grease, before joining us here at TLH. A petite package, Rhea delivers another high class vocal to our team and has often wowed our guests with the power of her voice! Rhea says “My favourite show to perform is definitely ‘Westenders’ as I love musicals and performing ‘cell block tango’ with all the other girls is brilliant!
Gabbie has been dancing since she can remember, developing a liking for freestyle dance and competitng in many competitions. Studying dance at college, Gabbie was part of the Birmingham Ormiston Academy (co-founded by the BRIT school) and is now enjoying performing as part of our resident entertainment team; her favourite show is ‘Once Upon a Christmas’. Gabbie also once high fived the one and only Usain Bolt. Not many of us can say they have done that!Kurt has over 10 year’s experience of performing in the South West, London and has enjoyed playing the festival circuit, both solo and with bands, at locations around the UK. He’s a proficient guitar player who adds to his performances with his fantastic voice. Not happy with playing just the one instrument, Kurt also plays the Mandolin, Ukulele, bass guitar, saxophone, drums and plays the piano at a basic level. Quite impressive!
If he had to perform only one type of show, Kurt’s favourite would be Musical Theatre, especially Rock musicals. He particularly likes any musicals created by Andrew Lloyd Webber and thinks that the part of the villain is the most fun to perform. Playing at the Isle of White festival was the first time Kurt had played in a festival line-up and is one of his claims to fame. He also played with a band in London that included the son of a famous drummer.
Matt has performed as a guitarist and vocalist with many different bands and in musicals. He is able to adapt his style of performance to suit almost any occasion. Matt enjoys being centre stage and particularly enjoys playing during concerts, because of the energy of the crowds. So far in his short career, Matt has enjoyed touring France with a jazz band and meeting his musical hero, John Mayer.
