After a workout you usually get quite hungry and just want to get some food in your body. But what snacks can you eat to help benefit your body and ensure you have got the most out of your workout?
Whilst training, your body uses up its glycogen stores for fuel, meaning your muscles will get partially depleted of glycogen and some of the proteins in your muscles will be broken down and damaged. Eating the correct food after training can help your body repair and re-grow quicker and easier, aiding in your recovery.
You should always try and get a good balance of protein and carbs after your workout, As protein helps aid your muscle recovery and carbs help to recover your glycogen stores.
After Training you normally want something quick and easy due to the fact that you are normally pretty hungry so here are some quick and easy post-workout meals for you to try!
