The Male Trail, Rowcroft’s men-only event, is back for 2020 and Team TLH is up for the challenge.
As Rowcroft Hospice is currently our designated charity, we are delighted to have some of our male staff take part in their Male Trail fundraiser this year. Our willing participants are, from left to right, Russell Clayton (Private Reservations Supervisor), John Finnegan (Managing Director, COO), Ian Piercy (Managing Director, CFO), Jason Garside (Managing Director, CEO) and Matt White (Digital Marketing Executive).
With the promise of pints, pasties and the opportunity to watch the Six Nations, signing up willing volunteers wasn’t that much of a challenge. This eight-mile charity walk kicks off at 11.00am on Saturday 7 March with a Hakka warm-up, ready for an 11.30 start from Torquay Rugby Club. The Trail takes in stunning views of Torbay from the South West Coast Path as well as over 20 conveniently located watering holes (what a coincidence!).
Rowcroft Hospice supports adults living with life-limiting illnesses in South Devon. More than 70% of their funding comes from the incredible generosity of our local community. Their team of doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, physiotherapists, complementary therapists, bereavement counsellors and support staff work tirelessly for thousands of patients and their families every year. Most of their work is delivered out in the community, in people’s homes, residential homes and hospitals.
Ways to Support Rowcroft
There are so many ways you can raise funds to support their work: from making a regular, monthly donation to playing the Rowcroft lottery, to trekking the Great Wall of China, to strolling the Sleep Walk! Every pound raised helps families to make the most of each and every day. Find out more about Rowcroft Hospice.
