For dancers who may not have a regular dance partner. Learn & update your Ballroom & Latin along with some popular Social Sequence and mixer dances. Partners cannot be guaranteed, but you are encouraged to mingle with fellow guests.

Monday

6.00 – 6.30pm: Welcome drinks reception in the Chatsworth Ballroom
6.30pm: Dinner is served in the Restaurant
8.45-10.45pm: Music & Dance evening with some tuition in the Chatsworth Ballroom

Tuesday

8.00-9.45am: Breakfast is served in the Restaurant
10.30-12.30pm: Dance Workshop in the Chatsworth Ballroom – It is possible the session May be split in to two groups in order to benefit different levels of experience and everyone’s enjoyment (each session would not be less than one hour)
6.30pm: Dinner is served in the Restaurant
8.45-10.45pm: Music & dance with revision and an introduction to a sequence dance in the Chatsworth Ballroom

Wednesday

8.00-9.45am: Breakfast is served in the Restaurant
Free day to relax & explore
6.30pm: Dinner is served in the Restaurant
8.45-10.45pm: Music & dance evening with revision plus one or two party games in the Chatsworth Ballroom

Thursday

8.00-9.45am: Breakfast is served in the Restaurant
10.30-12.30pm Dance Workshop in the Chatsworth Ballroom
6.30pm: Dinner is served in the Restaurant
8.45-10.45pm: Farewell dance evening with a Black & White theme plus trophies to be won in the Chatsworth Ballroom

Hosts

John & Linda West

John and Linda West of Holiday and Dance were British over 50s Latin Champions for 2007 and 2008, retiring undefeated in 2009. They were top of the EADA Senior II Latin chart for 2 years until retiring and were placed in the top 6 of the EADA Senior I Latin chart for several years. Regular finalists in the UK Closed Senior 1 Latin. Winners of Stars of the Future. ITDA and UKA qualified.

They trained with the top Latin and ballroom coaches in England, starting at the Dennis Drew Studio in Manor Park many years ago, and then joining Western Dance School in Rayleigh, taking part in the Supadance League for several years before competing on the “Open Circuit”.

Although retired from the world of competition dancing, they run regular classes each week in their home county of Essex, along with practice sessions, tea dances and social dancing.
