Covid Statement

The health and well-being of our guests and our teams are of paramount importance. Here are our new Covid Secure Procedures.

Current Situation

Providing you with an enjoyable break is very important to us. We understand that the new ways of doing things may be a little different to what you were expecting. The last couple of years have been challenging for all of us in so many different ways. We are even facing some new challenges with recruitment shortages across hospitality, our team having to isolate and shortages in our supply chain. We are doing everything possible to ensure these challenges do not impact on your stay with us, however it is inevitable that some facilities and elements of our service will be different and we want to be very clear on what you can expect while staying with us:

  • Our service may be slower than we strive to deliver
  • Some items on the menu may be unavailable, at short notice
  • Some facilities may be temporarily unavailable, at short notice
  • We recommend that both you and our teams wear face coverings in all indoor venues, apart from when eating food and drink
  • Hand sanitiser is provide throughout the complex – please use it regularly
  • The TLH Derwent and TLH Victoria Hotels have changed their dinner service to buffet style

TLH Coronavirus Guarantee

We recognise that we are all living in challenging times. Whilst none of us can say when the Coronavirus Pandemic will be over, we are sure that everyone needs something to look forward to and a chance to relax and enjoy the company of those closest to us. We have developed the TLH Coronavirus Guarantee to provide you with reassurance when booking a break with us.

Visit Britain Accreditation

TLH Leisure Resort are certified by Visit Britain as having all the necessary hospitality industry COVID secure processes in place. This means we are adhering to the respective Government and public health guidance and have carried out a thorough COVID-19 risk assessment and are able to display the ‘We’re Good to Go’ mark. You can have the confidence that as a business we are putting the welfare of our guests and colleagues at the forefront of everything we do.

Face Coverings

It is no longer mandatory to wear a face mask or covering when indoors, however we will be following the Government advice which statesGovernment expects and recommends that people wear face coverings in crowded areas’.

We strongly recommend that you and our teams continue to wear a face mask in the following circumstances:

  • In busy indoor areas
  • In confined spaces
  • When standing in a queue

OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT GUIDANCE

Check In

To prevent unnecessary delays and queues at Reception, we ask that your stay is paid in full prior to arrival. Please can you pay any outstanding balance before you arrive by contacting us on 01803 400500.

  • Check in is from 4.00pm. Please go to Reception to check in as normal.
  • If you arrive earlier you are welcome to use our facilities until your room is ready.
  • Please make use of the hand sanitisers at Reception.
  • Luggage storage will be available if required.

Your Room

  • Your room will be cleaned and sanitised between each stay.
  • We aim to provide a daily housekeeping service – if you would prefer for this NOT to happen please advise reception.
  • If you are staying longer than 4 nights, your room will be serviced either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, if you do not wish your room to be serviced please advise reception as soon as possible.
  • On the day of your departure rooms need to be vacated by 11.00am. (Self-catering apartments by 10.00am). You are, however, most welcome to stay on during the day and make the most of your stay.

Restaurants

  • Restaurant service in our dining areas will return to normal, including buffet service.
  • Dinner times will be confirmed upon arrival at your hotel.
  • The ‘rule of six’ and other social distancing requirements no longer applies.
  • We are recommending that our restaurant colleagues continue to wear face masks.

Bars

  • You will now be able to order at the bar in all venues. Table service will no longer be available.
  • The ‘rule of six’ and other social distancing requirements no longer applies.

Entertainment

  • Entertainment has always been a big part of your stay with us and we are pleased to say we can now offer our usual busy programme without restrictions.
  • There will be no need to pre-book tables in any of our venues.
  • Please check our What’s On Boards in Reception for full details of our entertainment and activities whilst you are here.

Around the Complex

  • Social distancing is no longer required.
  • We will continue with frequent barrier cleaning in all public areas.
  • You will see queue management systems in busy areas such as Reception and the Aztec Bistro.
  • We will point out alternative venues for eating and drinking if some areas become too busy for you.
  • Hand sanitisers will remain at key points, including receptions and at the entrance to restaurants and bars. Please do use them regularly.

Aztec Leisure Facilities

Indoor Pools
  • Guests no longer have to book a swimming or gym session.
  • We have reduced our indoor pools’ capacity to avoid overcrowding. A maximum of 100 bathers are permitted. We appreciate your patience if you are unable to use the pool when it is full. This would only be a temporary situation.
  • Showers and changing rooms are in use.
Aztec Games
  •  Aztec Games is open without restrictions, Soft play and 10 pin bowling must be booked in advance.
Aztec Bistro
  • The Bistro is open without restrictions and there will be queue management systems at busy times to avoid overcrowding and enable a smoother service.
Aztec Spa
  • Our Aztec Spa is open and we are able to offer our full range of treatments.
  • Spa therapists will continue to wear face masks.
  • If you book in advance you get 15% discount on any individual treatment. Call the Aztec Reception on 01803 400190 to book.

Other Outdoor Facilities

All our outdoor areas, including children’s outdoor play area, adventure playground and climbing wall are open.
