Each weekend celebrates a different style – from the smooth moves of Modern Jive to the vintage flair of Lindy Hop and the passion of Argentine Tango. Whether you’re polishing your skills or trying something new, these weekends promise great dancing, great company, and memories to last.
Tango with Blues
Held each January at TLH Derwent Hotel
This event offers Tango workshops at four levels from novice (those in their first year of regular Tango) right through to expert. There are also Blues workshops covering beginner and intermediate techniques. Workshops run all day Saturday and Sunday. In the evenings we have two Tango halls (Nuevo and Traditional) and a third venue offering Smooth Modern Jive followed by Blues late into the night. Tango (Level 2 & Up)
Held each January at TLH Victoria Hotel
This event offers Tango workshops at three levels from Level 2 (those with at least 18 months of Tango experience) right through to expert. If you are a beginner in Tango, this weekend is not for you – you’ll need our other Tango weekend instead. Workshops run all day Saturday and Sunday. Modern Jive with Blues

Some Modern Jive experience needed. This event offers Modern Jive dancers the chance to immerse themselves in a weekend of top quality workshops and social dancing. Includes dance styles such as Modern Jive, Blues, West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Tango and Kizomba, and more. Check out the Teachers page for more about what’s on offer. Lindy Hop with Balboa
Held each July at TLH Victoria Hotel
Experience a weekend filled with high-quality workshops and social dancing designed specifically for Lindy Hop and Balboa dancers. Our Lindy Hop workshops start at Intermediate level and run through to Advanced, so this weekend isn’t suitable for anyone new to Lindy Hop. Balboa workshops run from beginner/intermediate through to Intermediate/Advanced level. In the evenings, you can dance the night away in the main hall with Lindy Hop, and in a separate venue we offer Balboa followed by Blues. Our Resort

The four hotels are only a 5-minute walk from the Torquay seafront and marina so it’s easy to get out and about for a bracing stroll during the day. With bus stops close by and the town centre only a few minutes walk away, TLH Leisure Resort makes a great base for exploring the English Riviera.
