Improvements to Our Parking Facilities
We are pleased to announce that the TLH Derwent car park is undergoing a significant upgrade to improve its structure and surfaces. While we are working hard to minimize any inconvenience, please note the following temporary changes:
- Closure: Starting Monday 20th April, the TLH Derwent car park (beyond the height restriction barrier) will be closed until Friday 19th June (provisional date).
- Available Parking: All other TLH car parks remain open as usual. You can still park in the areas accessed via Chestnut Avenue, the TLH Carlton Hotel frontage, and the front section of the TLH Derwent Hotel car park (up to the barrier).
Parking Information for Your Hotel
TLH Carlton guests
There are 31 parking spaces in front of and beside the hotel entrance. If these are full, please use the TLH Victoria car park on Chestnut Avenue:
- Follow the red route on the map below
- Turn right from the TLH Carlton entrance onto Falkland Road
- Turn right at the traffic lights
- Turn right again into Chestnut Avenue, by Alberts Bar (please note this is a one-way road)
- The TLH Victoria car park is on your right
You may unload luggage outside the TLH Carlton before parking. Follow resort signs back to reception.
TLH Derwent guests
You can unload luggage in the TLH Victoria entrance car park, next to the TLH Derwent main entrance. Lift access is available to reception from the street level TLH Derwent Hotel entrance.
After unloading:
- Follow the blue route on the map below
- Exit the car park on to Belgrave Road
- Turn right, then right again into Chestnut Avenue
- Use the larger TLH Victoria car park on your right
TLH Victoria & Toorak guests
Please park as normal in the TLH Victoria or TLH Toorak car parks.

Car parking charges apply
To avoid the growing misuse of our car parks, brought about by the introduction of charging by our competitors, we have introduced parking charges and ANPR cameras to all of our car parks. This is in line with other local hotels. Our car parks are now fully managed by Parking Eye Ltd.
Please see the Terms and Conditions of parking on the signage within the car parks. Parking Eye Ltd, an external British Parking Association provider, will enforce any contravention.

A 30-minute drop off/collection period applies on entering our car parks. Therefore, your vehicle must exit the car park within 30 minutes of arrival to avoid any charges being made.
Are there exemptions?
The following groups of visitors will continue to be able to park for free on a first-come first-served basis however you must enter your car registration number and the dates of your stay in the tablet at reception within 30 minutes of your arrival.
- All overnight hotel guests who book directly with TLH Leisure Resort – parking will be free of charge on the day of your arrival until the day of your departure.
- Aztec Club members
- Spa Day customers – Aztec Refresh, Aztec Relax, and Aztec Revive packages only.
Who will need to pay?
- Hotel guests who have booked via a third-party online agent, such as Booking.com, Expedia, Hotel.com etc.
- Customers who have booked via a third party agent such as Spabreaks.com for any overnight spa break.
- Overnight spa break customers who have booked via Spabreaks.com.
- Aztec Leisure/Day Visitors, including customers of the following:
- Aztec Bistro
- Dip ‘n’ Dine
- Aztec Spa
- Aztec Spa Fire & Ice
- Aztec Studio (non-members)
- Aztec Games
- Bowls Arena
- Attending a non-residential half-day meeting or half-day conference
- Attending a wedding, party or function
- Attending a Christmas party night (non hotel resident)
I have booked a hotel overnight stay direct with TLH Leisure Resort, what must I do?
When you check in at Reception they can confirm that you have a direct booking with us. Once this is confirmed you must enter your correct vehicle details and confirm the duration of your stay on the ParkingEye tablets provided. Our reception teams will then be able to validate any free parking you are entitled to. This only applies to direct bookings, made on our website at www.tlh.co.uk or over the phone, and only for the duration of your stay. All other charges apply.
TLH Direct Bookings – Inclusive parking for direct bookings is valid from the day of arrival and expires on the day of departure. A direct booking is any booking made via the TLH website www.tlh.co.uk or with our Reservations Team over the phone on 01803 400500.
You are responsible for entering your correct vehicle details into the Parking Eye Tablet at Reception. This must be done as soon as you arrive. Unfortunately, our Teams are unable to do this on your behalf. Incorrect information will result in a charge being issued by Parking Eye.
I haven’t booked an overnight stay direct with TLH and have used Booking.com or another online booking agent, what do I need to do?
Pay for your parking at any pay station located within the car parks, via the Evology app or at Reception. You will need to renew your parking for each day of your stay. Parking can be paid for in advance for the duration of your stay, however, if you intend to leave our car parks during your stay, spaces are limited and not guaranteed on your return. Any payment in advance cannot be refunded should a space not be available on your return.
As an overnight hotel resident how do I avoid paying for overnight parking in future?
Book direct with TLH Leisure Resort using our website www.tlh.co.uk or call 01803 400500 and you can use our car parks for free.
I am travelling as part of a group. Do I need to pay for parking?
There is inclusive parking for group bookings who have booked directly with us which means you do not need to pay for your parking. Parking is valid from the day of arrival and expires on the day of departure.
Group members arriving by their own cars are responsible for entering their correct vehicle registration and stay details into the ParkingEye tablets at the hotel reception. This must be done immediately on arrival.
If you are arriving by coach your driver will have discussed coach parking with us. He is responsible for entering the correct registration number for the coach and the stay details into the ParkingEye tablets at the hotel reception. This must be done even if he is not parking on site to allow for the unloading of luggage and drop off / pick up collections.
I am a non-residential wedding/Christmas party/function guest – do I need to pay?
Parking charges will apply to all guests, excluding event organisers. Please pay at the pay stations on arrival or via the Evology App.
I have booked direct and am attending a non-residential meeting/training/conference. What do I need to do?
Attendees are responsible for their parking on the day. On arrival, you can pay at the Pay Stations or using the Evology App. Discounted parking at £5.00 per car, allowing unlimited parking for the entire day. This can be purchased at the hotel reception only.
I am a Blue Badge holder – do I need to pay?
We have several disabled car parking spaces but Blue Badge holders will still need to pay for parking unless they have booked direct.
Aztec Club Members/Spa Day Customers
If you are a member of the Aztec Club (including Aztec Studio members) you don’t have to pay for parking. Please ensure that Aztec Reception has your vehicle registration number. You are responsible for updating this information should you change vehicles.
Other Aztec Leisure/Non-Residential Visitors
If you are visiting to use any of our Aztec facilities you will need to pay for parking on arrival. These include the following:
- Aztec Bistro
- Dip ‘n’ Dine
- Aztec Spa (excluding Spa Days)
- Aztec Spa Fire & Ice
- Aztec Studio (excluding Members)
- Aztec Games
- Bowls Arena
How can I pay for my parking?
On arrival, you can pay at the Pay Stations, Aztec Reception or using the Evology App. Please note that any overpayments for parking cannot be refunded.

Do you have any electric vehicle charging points?
Yes, we have one point with two chargers located at the rear of the TLH Toorak Hotel car park. The unit charge is 80p per KWH. There is a QR code on the screen to download the App, called Charge Assist – Green flux Smart Charging. Full instructions are on the App.
Guests will need their own charging cable and should use their vehicle manufacturer’s guidance on charging usage. Ensure charger CU20642 TLH Toorak Hotel, Torquay is selected and follow instructions.
