Steph’s career at TLH Leisure Resort is a standout example of how our team learn, grow and succeed. Since joining us in 2004, Steph has navigated almost every corner of the resort, gaining the “boots on the ground” operational insight that only comes from true experience.
By combining the fast-paced energy of Front of House with the strategic focus of Back of House roles, Steph has built a 360-degree understanding of the hospitality industry.
The Road to Business Development Manager

2004: Began as a Receptionist at the TLH Derwent Hotel, quickly rising to Reception Shift Leader.

2007: Stepped into her first management role as Assistant Front of House Manager at the Derwent.

2011: Diversified her skillset by joining the Reservations Team as Deputy Team Leader, before moving to the Toorak Hotel as Assistant Manager overseeing retail, F&B and events.

2012: Returned to her roots at the Derwent Hotel as Front of House Manager.

2014: Promoted to Deputy General Manager of the Derwent Hotel.

2016: Took a pivotal “leap of faith” into Sales & Marketing as Private Sales Manager, mastering the commercial side of the business.

2019 – Present: Upon returning from maternity leave, Steph’s evolution culminated in her appointment as Business Development Manager.
