Roger Heale joined the TLH Team back in 1990 as General Manager of the TLH Victoria Hotel. In 1998, he moved to the TLH Toorak Hotel as General Manager where he stayed until 2003 to continue his career away from Torquay.
In October 2022 the opportunity arose for Roger to return to TLH Toorak Hotel as General Manager. Roger commented “I couldn’t be happier to be back as a part of the TLH Team.” He had his wedding reception at the hotel and his daughter had her christening lunch here, so the Toorak is very dear to his heart on a personal as well as professional level.
Roger has worked in hospitality since he left school at 16, he began working in the kitchen before joining a management training scheme with Trust House Forte Hotels which set him on his career in hotel management. Hard work and dedication has allowed him to achieve his successful career.
We asked Roger what makes him proud of his position as TLH Toorak Hotel General Manager. He said “leading a great team that support me and each other and working together to deliver a great experience for our guests, it’s really inspiring to me and is all about looking after people, whether that’s my team or our guests”
