TLH Stars Shine at Torbay Naturally Inspiring Business Awards

14 June 2022

After attending the first-ever Torbay Naturally Inspiring Business Awards, organised by the Torbay Weekly, Team TLH were left feeling like shooting stars after winning an award for Innovation, sponsored by Torbay Business Forum.

Back in business

After what has felt like two years of isolation for businesses and any formal in-person networking events, the Naturally Inspiring Business Awards was the first major event for businesses since the start of the pandemic. With this in mind, various TLH team members were delighted to be able to attend the black-tie night, already feeling like winners.

The format of the evening meant that we were all kept in suspense. Award announcements were scattered amongst guest speakers including BBC presenter David Fitzgerald and VIP guest, Exeter City Council chief executive and Growth Director Karime Hassan, not to mention a delicious three-course meal. Towards the latter stages of the evening, our category was up. Although confident in the fantastic innovations we have been working on over the past 2 years, we knew the competition was tough. The announcement from David that we had won, was met by raptures from our team! Our entry focused on the development of the Aztec Fire & Ice facility our new website, the installation of electric vehicle charging points and how our marketing activities have helped to generate awareness of all of this and more.

Our mission

This award means a lot to the whole team here at TLH Leisure Resort. We’re all stars and each of us played a part in this great achievement. Our new mission is to become the number one choice for all hotel-based leisure in Torquay. To be recognised in this way is a testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment our team has shown to make our mission a reality.
