English Riviera Walking Festival
Join us for the 2025 English Riviera Walking Festival, which will take place 6 – 21 June 2026. The English Riviera coastline provides picturesque views with a variety of coastal walks ranging in difficulty, so whatever your ability there is a walk out there for you! Agatha Christie Festival 2026
Celebrate Agatha Christie in the place of her birth on the English Riviera. Step into the area’s outstanding literary and geological heritage. Join us for a week of cultural talks, walks, films, workshops and performances, plus an exciting fringe programme.
Every September, the English Riviera in Devon becomes a crime scene worth some serious investigation, as we celebrate the birthday of our most famous literary daughter. Each year you can expect a series of events coinciding with her birthday on 15 September, the next International Agatha Christie Festival will be held from Saturday 12th September 2026 – Sunday 20th September 2026, with more fun and literary events than you can shake a smoking gun at. Electric Bay Festival 2026
This July, marking it’s fourth edition, Electric Bay Festival returns to Torre Abbey Meadows, Torquay on Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th July 2025 with their biggest headline act to date, the funk soul brother himself, Fatboy Slim!
Undoubtedly one of the most successful dance artists of all time, Norman Cook, better know as Fatboy Slim, will bring his infectious energy and huge outdoor festival production to Electric Bay on Saturday 12th July at their beautiful Devonshire seafront setting in Torquay. FIND OUT MORE
Pirate Festival, Brixham 2026
The annual Brixham Pirate Festival, held in Brixham, Devon takes place over the Early May Bank Holiday weekend, is a swashbuckling mix of seaside shenanigans and pirate-themed fun for all the family. In 2025, the Brixham Pirate Festival takes place from 3rd-5th May.
Why not dress up as a pirate (an awful lot of people do) and travel to Brixham by boat from Torquay and Paignton for the most authentic arrival. The whole town is decked out in “skull and cross bones” while the sound of seagulls, shanties and lots of people saying “arghhhh me hearties” floats through the air.
