27 February 2024
What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a specialist type of massage that involves applying pressure across the feet and hands. It is believed that applying pressure to certain areas of the foot can offer a range of health benefits, relieve tension and help you to relax. Reflexology is based on the theory that your hands, feet, and ears are connected to certain organs and body systems.

What are the benefits of Reflexology?

Although there is no scientific evidence, many people have claimed that Reflexology has benefited them in a variety of ways. Some include:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Improve mood
  •  Helps reduce headaches
  • Relaxation
  • Helps with your sleeping pattern

We are now offering Reflexology as a new treatment in the Aztec Spa.

Claire, our new Beauty Therapist will be offering the treatment. We spoke to Claire and asked her about her experiences and history with Reflexology. She said, she has always preferred the holistic approach when dealing with clients. When she began her career in the beauty industry, she was encouraged to focus her efforts on this and received an NVQ in Holistic Therapy. She said Reflexology can help in many ways, it just depends on what you are looking for, but the main benefits Claire has found are, helps with wellbeing, relaxation, stress relief and it can be an energising treatment.
