Mission Statement and Company Values Launch
As one of Torbay’s largest employers, we are leading the way with a brand new training initiative, dubbed ‘TLH STARS’. Last week saw the launch of the brand new TLH Leisure Resort Mission Statement and Core Values: Service, Teamwork, Attitude, Respect, Safety and Sustainability (STARS). The new mission statement puts the TLH Team and our guests at the forefront. Group Operations Manager, Damian Skelton says:
TLH has real clarity of purpose; that is to be the number one choice for hotel-based leisure in Torquay. Through a range of company initiatives, not least our STARS programme, and the fantastic team we have, we will achieve this.
After two years of disruption due to the COVID pandemic, TLH Leisure Resort is bouncing back stronger than ever. We have invested over £2m during the past two years and plan further investment, despite the uncertain times we are still living through. This includes the flagship investments of the brand new Aztec Spa Fire & Ice facility along with a significant investment in our popular family-friendly Alberts Bar on Belgrave Road.
These two facilities form the basis of our new ‘Hospitality Discount Scheme’ in which hospitality workers will benefit from some fantastic savings. A first for hospitality businesses in the Torbay area, the exclusive hospitality worker discounts are a gesture acknowledging the difficulties the industry has experienced. Newly appointed HR Manager, Sophia Bickle added:
The discount scheme shows our friends and colleagues in the Bay that we understand times have been tough and this is a way of giving something back.
We are currently planning for the next 5 years of investment and recruitment and are looking forward to a bright future for TLH Leisure Resort.
