Top 5 Things to do for Families in Torbay this Summer

5 March 2023

There are always things to do for families in Torbay whether it be local attractions or great outdoor events. We’ve listed our favourite 5 activities this summer in Torquay and the surrounding areas which are great for families visiting the area and local families alike.

Paignton Festival 2023

This year’s event will take place from Saturday 22nd to Sunday 30th July. Paignton Festival is run by a small team of dedicated volunteers, who rely solely off donations from the public and local businesses and traders. Without financial support from them they would be unable to put on this successful event every year.

Previous programmes have included Anderton and Rowlands Fun Fair, Party on the Green, Torbay Old Wheels Classic Car Show, Family entertainment on stage from majorettes, local bands, holiday park entertainment, plus more.  find out more

Cockington Sculpture Trail 2023

Yes it’s back by popular demand – Cockington Court Sculpture Trail starts in July when various insects of all shapes, sizes (and materials!) will descend on Cockington Court! Art and culture enthusiasts, families and children all love exploring the trail, hunting for the 30+ diverse sculptures dotted around the Manor House and grounds. Many local artists get involved in the trail as it offers excellent exposure and a fantastic showcase for their work. The Sculpture Trail leads around the grounds of Cockington Court as well as involving some of our favourite hidden treasures, such as the Walled Art Garden, our Kitchen Gallery and inside the Manor House.
